Long Range Operator’s Certificate (Satellite module)
Permits the holder of the LRC certificate to operate the GMDSS satellite communications equipment.
The satellite module can be obtained either simultaneously with the LRC certificate or subsequently.
dURATION:
The course duration is 1 day, including the examination on site.
COURSE CALENDAR:
Dates to be determined by prior arrangement.
pREREQUISITES:
Candidates must be 16 years of age or over. There is no nationality requirement.
CONtENT:
Knowledge of procedures and practical operation of GMDSS satellite equipment:
- EGC system
- Inmarsat C
- Inmarsat FleetBroadband
- Iridium
EXAMINATION:
The exam is held by examiners approved by AMERC/MCA
